Every year, tens of thousands of women start their studies to become nurses. Admitted into a “Nursing Training Institute”, they will share their time between theory classes, practical exercises and field placements. An intense and difficult course, during which they will have to acquire a large amount of knowledge, master many technical gestures and prepare to take on heavy responsibilities. This film retraces the ups and downs of an apprenticeship that will confront them very early, often very young, to human frailty, suffering, illness, and the cracks of souls and bodies.
